BOARD NEWS
HARRIS COUNTY
INSTALLING TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS ON WEST GREEN BOULEVARD
The first month of 2007 will be
nearly completed as you read this. The Board hopes the New Year
brings you health and prosperity. It is time for the Board to
focus on the needs of the community. In that regard, the Board
wishes to have your input on items that should be considered. If
you have an issue that you feel needs consideration, please do so
as soon as possible. It is easy to send you ideas by way of the
internet. Go to
www.nottinghamcountry.org
click on Contact the Board, click on “all board member” and
provide your suggestions. We truly wish to serve the needs of the
subdivision and encourage your input.
The Board
has several proposals to look at this year. A television survey
of the storm drainage in Sections 1, 2, & 3 was completed in
December. The results are several broken storm lines that need
repair. In a few instances, the manholes are also in need of
repair. In one case, somebody dumped a load of concrete into a
manhole. This project will be quite expensive for the
association. However, failure to correct the defects will result
in continued deterioration of the alleys.
By the
time this article appears the repairs of the alleys should have
been completed. We thank those who were inconvenienced during the
work program.
Another
problem that affects the community is drainage on the south side
of Nottingham Country Park on Rennie. This has been a problem for
many years and during periods of high rainfall, the area floods
significantly. The land is so flat that it takes a great length
of time for the water to recede. When the weather is warm
mosquitoes hatch with abundance. The solution to the problem will
be a significant expense.
It is the
time of the year to trim trees and shrubbery. This activity will
enhance the views of the neighborhood and so everyone is
encouraged to look at their property and do a spring trimming.
Again, let
us know your thoughts on how the board can serve you better.
